Basil grows in our garden through the warmer months, filling the air with its unmistakable green, slightly peppery scent. On sunny days, when the grass has just been cut and the fields stretch wide beneath open skies, that fresh herbal fragrance feels especially alive.

While limes may not grow in Galloway, their bright citrus note lifts and sharpens the basil beautifully — like sunlight breaking through drifting cloud.
